National Novel Writing Month

November is National Novel Writing Month (aka NaNoWriMo). If you've ever thought about writing a novel, then this is the perfect challenge for you. The goal is to write a 50,000 word novel (about 175 pages) between November 1 and November 30. And this is one time when quality is less desirable than quantity. The point is to write as much as you can to get your ideas flowing. After all, who knows what you might come up with!

Hey, it's DGS. I just wanted to mention that I read something by someone who actually did NaNoWriMo last year on Fictionpress.com (www.fictionpress.com/~flamemajic). I don't know the person, but i happened to read the part of their novel they posted, and it's really amazing...If you didn't know about Ficpress already I'm surprised, it's a great site where anyone who wants to can write stuff and post it up, then have people review it, for free...

I've heard of Ficpress, but haven't taken a look at it recently. Thanks for bringing it up! I'll have to check it out.
